INVITATION TO
Institutional Investor Training Seminar on
Nigerian Pensions and Private Equity

Date: Wednesday 1December 2010
Time: 2pm- 6pm
Venue: Ikoyi, Lagos
Fees: =N=100,000 per delegate
The Nigerian Pensions industry has undergone structural reform in the last 6 years and continues to evolve under the guidance of The National Pension Commission (Pencom) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to allow pensions assets be invested safely for maximum return to meet pension scheme commitments and pension fund managers’ investment return objectives.

As part of this evolution, under the Pensions Reform Act 2004, pension funds were allowed to expand their investment asset classes to include an allocation of up to 25% in public equities that meet the requirements set by Pencom.

Pencom is considering extending the pensions investment asset class types further to include private equity and published draft proposals for doing so in September 2010.

It is within this context that Henshaw Capital Partners is hosting this seminar on Nigerian Pensions and Private Equity.

The objective of the training seminar is to raise awareness of the issues, options and best practice for pensions investment in private equity and to provide examples of successful pensions investing in private equity as well as highlight some of the pitfalls.
